Phase of analysis of the stories

Dear friends,

Thank you once again for participating in the prize, which saw the contribution of people and organizations from many different countries:

Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Colombia, Guatemala, India, Italy, Kenya, Niger, Peru, San Salvador, Uruguay, Israel, Palestine, Congo, Ivory Coast, Costa Rica, Germany, Iran, Pakistan, Paraguay, Zaire, Denmark, Timor Est, Canada.

It is now time to bring you up to date on the process of selection of stories.

The groups of analysis of the stories are being created. These groups are linked to organizations that are part of the technical secretary of the UPMS.

Each group will be coordinated by experts in the topic of systematization and analysis of the experiences of social struggle.

How to proceed

In a first stage of selection each group will analyze some of the stories on the basis of three criteria:

• Area of the political significance
• Area of the methods of action
• Area of the methods of storytelling.

The stories selected by each group will then pass to the final selection which will be led by the scientific committee of the prize.

We hope to complete the process of selection by the end of December 2009.

We remind you that you can always add more stories on the site and invite other people to do the same.
